Traditional dentistry deals with decay by removing the damaged part of the tooth and replacing it with an artificial filling material. Once that has happened, the tooth is never quite the same again.
Curodont™ Repair takes a different route. It works with your body to regenerate the enamel you already have, so where a lesion is caught early and the enamel surface is still intact, there may be no need to drill at all.

What guided enamelregeneration can look like
The white, chalky patch in the first image is an early lesion: enamel that has lost minerals, but that has not yet broken down into a cavity. Traditionally this would be watched and then filled once it had progressed.
The second image was taken after a single application of Curodont™ Repair. The peptide scaffold has drawn minerals from your own saliva back into the lesion, so the enamel has rebuilt from the inside out. The white mark is less visible and the tooth is stronger than it was, with nothing drilled away.

How will I know if it is suitable for me?
Your dentist will check for early signs of decay and white spot lesions at your assessment, using a visual examination and x-rays where appropriate. If Curodont™ Repair is an option for you, they will explain it and answer your questions before anything begins.
How do I look after my teeth after treatment?
Exactly as you would normally. Brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste, clean between your teeth, keep sugary food and drinks to mealtimes, and keep up with your routine appointments. Our dental hygiene team can help you build a routine that suits you.
